Since the Paradise Pier does not get enough love, why not give it a brand new look? Since its closing on January 8, 2018, it will be transformed into a brand new Pixar Pier opening very shortly on June 23, 2018 right after the release of Incredibles 2 on June 15. If you can't wait that long like me, come on down to see a preview of the new Pier on April 13, during the park's first 'Pixar Fest'.
As announced during the D23 Expo Japan 2018, the Pixar Pier will have four themed neighborhoods each one will be themed to a popular Pixar movie.
The first neighborhood will be themed to the incredibles and will include the former California Screamin' coaster. The coaster will be transformed into the Incredicoaster which will be filled with sharp turns, big drops and no capes! While your there make sure to say hi to Edna for me darling.
Another neighborhood is going to be by the existing Toy Story Mania! ride and will be Toy Story themed.
Your favorite emotions will fill the third neighborhood as it will be Inside Out themed. There will also be a new ride similar to Flick's Fliers in Bugs Land that will lift you off your feet.
The final neighborhood will feature all your favorite Pixar characters and will be by the former Mickey's Fun Wheel which will also be receiving a new look. Keep a look out for this new themed Pier coming this summer!
