Tokyo Disneyland hasn't seen this much of an expansion since September 4, 2001, opening day. With Shanghai Disneyland getting a new Toy Story Land in 2018 and Hong Kong Disneyland getting a multi-year expansion from 2018-2023 it only seemed fair that Tokyo received an upgrade too.
One of the biggest expansions will be begin in Fantasyland where a Beauty and the Beast themed village will reside. Although it has not been released yet what will exactly be in Belle's, but it has been confirmed that it will feature a new attraction, dining area, most likely it will be themed to the song Be Our Guest, an indoor theater where you can watch your favorite characters perform, and of coarse shopping.
Along with Fantasyland, Tomorrowland will be getting something new and that features your favorite health care robot Baymax. The first Big Hero 6 ride will take you for a spin as you swing and twist to the music.
Don't forget to stop by Toontown to meet your favorite female mouse Minnie. Toontown will be getting a Minnie Mouse themed meet and greet area, so make sure to take a photo and get an autograph when you say hi.
Not only is Tokyo Disneyland getting new attractions, but so is Tokyo DisneySea. This park will be adding one of the neatest rides to its Mediterranean Harbor are Soarin', which like Walt Disney World and Disneyland's California Adventure will have you flying through the sky over various locations.
All of these new areas and attractions will open throughout the year of 2020. Are you excited?
